College Just Got Easier: CSN Launches Direct Admissions
November 2 2026
For eligible Clark County high school seniors, the path to college just got a little simpler. And it starts with a letter in the mail.
CSN has launched its new Direct Admissions initiative, offering eligible Clark County School District high school seniors admission to CSN for fall 2027 without requiring them to complete the traditional admissions application during this initial phase.
Admission letters were mailed Oct. 19, giving students and families an opportunity to start planning for life after high school.
Less Paperwork. More Possibilities.
For many students, taking that first step toward college can feel overwhelming. Between applications, deadlines, fees and figuring out what comes next, the process itself can become a barrier.
CSN wants to change that.
Through Direct Admissions, eligible seniors can skip the traditional application process for now and simply complete a short Intent to Enroll form to confirm their interest in attending CSN. The college is also deferring the $20 application fee for students participating in the initiative.
It’s a small change in the process that could make a meaningful difference for students who might otherwise put off applying to college.
And that’s why this matters.
By making admission easier, CSN hopes to encourage more Southern Nevada students to consider higher education, whether their goal is to earn a degree, transfer to a university, learn a skilled trade or prepare for a career.
The initiative also gives students an earlier opportunity to explore their options and begin thinking about how college fits into their future.
Got a Letter? Here’s What to Do Next.
Students and parents should keep an eye on their mailboxes for an official Direct Admissions letter from CSN.
If you receive one, here’s what you need to know:
- You’re admitted! Eligible students have been offered admission to CSN for fall 2027.
- Confirm your interest. Scan the QR code in your letter to complete the short Intent to Enroll form.
- Don’t miss the deadline. Submit your form by Nov. 13, 2026, to take advantage of the simplified admissions process.
- Your application fee is deferred. The $20 admissions application fee is deferred for participating students.
Students who miss the Nov. 13 deadline can still pursue admission to CSN but will need to complete the traditional admissions application.
Parents, This Is Your Invitation, Too!
Choosing what comes after high school is a big decision, and families play an important role in helping students explore their options.
CSN offers academic programs, career and technical education, workforce training and pathways to four-year universities, giving students different ways to pursue their goals.
Want to see those opportunities firsthand? CSN’s upcoming campus open houses offer students and families a chance to explore programs, meet faculty and learn more about what college life could look like.
The bottom line: College should feel like an opportunity, not an obstacle. Direct Admissions is one more way CSN is working to make higher education more accessible to Southern Nevada students.
Received a Direct Admissions letter? Don’t wait! Complete your Intent to Enroll form by Nov. 13.
