Four college students, two others pass away due to road accidents in India

(MENAFN) Six people, including four college students, lost their lives in two separate road accidents in the northern Indian state of Punjab, a police official confirmed on Tuesday.

The first incident occurred in Bathinda district, where a car carrying four students collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction. Authorities believe a burst tire caused the car to lose control and veer across the road divider at high speed, leading to the fatal crash. All four students died at the scene.

In a separate accident in the Mukerian area of Hoshiarpur district, two people died when their speeding car crashed into a police post. The vehicle was traveling from the Jammu region toward Chandigarh, Punjab’s capital, when the collision occurred.
